See what everyone has to say about their experience with Michigan Voice Over Talent!

“When seeking a voiceover talent, we were fortunate enough to come in contact with Joe Ternullo. We had a project that had a short turnaround time, as we all typically face in this industry. Joe was able to cut us a scratch track while he was on vacation, so that we could move forward with the editing process and not lose any time. Once home, he sent us over the final read. The process with Joe has been smooth and professional, and his voice speaks for itself. I would recommend giving Joe a shot at a project, having done so, our stable of voiceover talent has taken a strong step up!”

Hi Kate! My audition at Dreamscape went well! I met John. He thought I sounded great! They want to find books for me to record! Thank you! Couldn’t have done it without you!

Anyone who wants to sing properly, better, longer, needs Kate Hart. Anyone with stamina issues or vocal cord damage needs Kate Hart. As contemporaries, Kate & I have had similar issues to overcome in our careers, she has been invaluable to me. She has helped me find my voice again.

Kate I know I’ve said this a million times before but……… Thank you! You are Awesome!

It was such a joy to meet you – Grace came home on such a high. This is going to be a wonderful experience for her 🙂

Our weekend was PHENOMENAL…Sophie came home ELATED. Thank you, thank you, thank you.

Hi Kate, I can’t put into words how grateful I am to you. You have changed my life forever! I love you so much and your work is fascinating. Thank you for your patience with me. I still feel you with me! There are not enough “thank yous” in the world to describe how I feel!! I felt like I was covered in shit and all of that has been lifted!! Eternally grateful.

Hi Kate, I wanted to let you know that I am so happy that I was able to attend this workshop on August 11th. The instructor was very knowledgeable and helpful, and it was so lovely to meet and network with the folks who attended. I also really enjoyed seeing Ember Studio, and meeting Emilio, who was also very nice and I am looking forward to going back to do some recording. This was a really great experience all around, and a wonderful value for the cost of the workshop. I am inspired to become more involved in the voice-over artist community in Southeast Michigan, and am so grateful that you have helped to establish this community here. Thank you so much for the work that you do! I look forward to meeting you, hopefully in the near future. In fact, one of the attendees suggested you host a ‘Voice-Over Community Lollapalooza”, which sounds quite fun 🙂

Glad you liked it (National Commercial)….I did a lot of voice exercises before recording that one…..I had you on my shoulder…..”move your mouth”…..hahahaha

You are an incredible teacher and so supportive of ALL of your students. I cannot thank you enough…

Class was wonderful! VERY well prepared handout, covered all the bases, was great at preparing us what to expect. Even my husband enjoyed the class. 😀 I especially loved listening to where others were coming from (backgrounds, interests, etc.) A great group of people, all high achieving and intelligent. Fascinating.

Wanted to let you know that I appreciated the coaching yesterday. I could feel it. Sounds a little goofy?? I felt like it was a very productive session. Also enjoyed Joe’s workshop. Lots of information, and he told us to feel free to contact him with questions. I’m certain I will be doing that. Look forward to our next meeting.

I absolutely loved the workshop last night. I feel like I now have a map to help guide me…answered many of the questions I had in my head. Not to mention the amazing group of people who attended.

I wanted to tell you that you really did some great work with Sophia on Escape. We recorded it on Saturday and she sounded much better than she did a few months back with this song. It’s really helpful that you give vocalists the tools they need like getting their voice out of their throat or singing with head or chest voice because it really makes things easier if I need to give them some direction. Even being able to recognize these things as a producer in a vocal performance is a result of going through vocal training with you. Just wanted to let you know that you have made a big difference in all of our lives.

Been thinking about you the past few days. Been doing some self-recording and hating my voice. So for the past 4 days I have been playing back your lessons I recorded with you……today I will be on day 5…….and the strangest thing…….is in just a few days it sounds sooooooo much better!……you are an incredible voice teacher.

Coming to the studio is the highlight of my week. Thank you for sharing your gifts with me. I’m looking forward to doing the same once I’ve received all the training I need to get me started. You just keep me so excited! A friend of mine said she sees such a positive change in me. Now that’s awesome!

Hello, my dearest Kate. Think of you often, more than you know and especially those times where I am pulling out of my “vocal tool box” whatever I need for whatever song we may be singing.

Of course, with the week leading into Easter, so much singing. My church choir performed Maurice Durufle’s Requiem the evening of Good Friday in Latin. Quite ambitious and very challenging for a volunteer church choir. Our director listened to the recording and said it was just first rate. You know, I wasn’t going to sing it. Not into it, busy at work and thought I’d be working that evening. Then I got stomach flu and missed two weeks of practice. I felt too behind to even do it. Well, lo and behold, a week later he came up to me after I told him I probably will not be singing it what with work, etc. He asked me what the chances would be if I could get out of work to sing this Requiem. I was floored! Who could say “no” after that and told him I could probably get out of working that evening. Kate, what a difference and journey from where I started. It’s wonderful that this director thinks enough of us to challenge us and be more than what we are.

Wanted to share that with you-I know how happy you are for me.

I learned some valuable techniques and information from Emily. She made me aware of tapping into my acting skills (different personalities), finding the character and have fun with it. Listening to the other students deliveries provided me with new ideas as well. Thanks Again

I just wanted to thank you and pass along a “Thank You” to Emily for the workshop last night. I really enjoyed it and learned a great deal. I think I was the least experienced member of the group but I really appreciated how she didn’t make me feel that way. She offered a great deal of helpful ideas and techniques. If she ever offers any other kind of workshop, please send me information.

I actually read scripts for ads rather than narration or audiobooks, and I really enjoyed it. I think I walked away with a better understanding of how I can create a voice over repertoire that suits me the best.

First day back on air & the cold reads are easy — gotta be the class!!

Thanks for working with me last night. That was a great experience!

Thank you Kate for bringing it out of me, making me aware of it and training me on how to overcome it. Also thank you for the resources and I’m looking forward to the upcoming classes!

I want to thank you SO much for your kindness and support. I received the best news today that I was accepted to Columbia and it would not have been possible without your help!

Thank you, Kate, you are a wonderful person and I look back on the day I called you one of the best things I have done – and you have given me one of my great joys in life, the gift of my voice.

I wanted to write you to let you know how much we enjoyed your workshop at House of Yoga recently. I hope you will remember our family. I was with my husband…we hope to have the opportunity to work with you more in the future…have been talking about how much we all connected with you and your work. (my daughter) felt it too. I was actually shocked, because I wasn’t sure how she would feel about it. I think she was open because you were so down to earth in your communication and have such a respected history as a woman in the music business! I really feel you could help her music. Thanks for putting me on your mailing list and I know we will connect after you heal from your surgery. It is such a blessing to know you.

First and foremost, the reason I am writing to you is because I would like to thank you. I want to extend my gratitude for guiding me and giving me a positive outlet during a not so easy time in my life. You were a nurturing influence and I keep this in mind as I move forward down my own path. You granted me, for the first time in my life, with a clue towards discovering my true voice. Although our time spent together was brief your lessons will consistently resonate with me.

Just wanted to tell you I recorded another TV commercial on Friday…..this makes seven VO’s in the last few weeks…..having a ball!!!! Have added one of the TV commercial’s to my website and will be adding this latest one soon.

I signed up for the two day workshop and look forward to it. By the way, I really enjoyed the workshop you held in January.

I have been blessed with a voice that with your guidance can open new doors and adventures. You have a teaching gift for voice and I appreciate your tutelage.

Kate, Kate, Kate! What a wonderful vocal workshop yesterday. You were sensational, I loved how instantly you changed folks voices with just a few tips. You don’t know how much I miss your voice lessons.

Just wanted to say thank you for setting up the class last night with Joe. Both he and his wife Tammy were a pleasure to be with and offered up great information!!

Thanks again!  I love the way this life journey is starting out!!

Sophia is unbelievably blessed to have people in her life that care so much about her!!! Thanks for your two cents, support and dedication. It really does take a village to raise a child and we are blessed to have you in our village!!

Awesome!! Thanks so much Kate!! Words can’t express how much I appreciate it!! Yes last night was fun, and so positive, you give off a great vibe and that makes a world if difference!

Looking forward to Tuesday Night!!

I’ve been going through exercises on my morning commute. Singing my songs during evening. And catching myself hitting notes I’ve never hit before, just like you said, very cool!

It’s great being part of your team, Kate!

I wanted to say thank you for believing in me …You have always been so supportive of me and have recommended me to people and I want you to know that I am grateful for it and without you I wouldn’t be where I am. You threw me into the fire…trusted me…and those things were instrumental in helping me to see exactly what I am supposed to be doing. I feel like over the past couple years I have finally found what I have been looking for. I always have felt like I have been searching for something and I never knew exactly what that was even though it was right in front of me the whole time.

It’s impossible to know where life will take you and what’s around the corner but I know that I am doing what I love and that I have never felt so fulfilled professionally in my entire life. I have you to thank for helping me get here. I honestly can’t imagine where I would be if I hadn’t met you…all those years ago. You have helped me tremendously with advice, guidance, my voice, and helping me to understand what I should be doing. Thank you Kate. I love you

It was a pleasure meeting and learning from you in person, yesterday, at Emilio’s. Joe’s workshop was very informative, and the scratch tracks were in my email box before I even left the premises. You’ve assembled quite a team, and I’m very grateful to be able to take advantage of its highly skilled help and guidance. Many thanks

Thanks Kate. You have helped tremendously already. I can feel it. I know we have a long way to go and am looking forward to it.

Also want to thank you for the great session on Saturday. Abby and I were both so happy and it really felt good to explore our voices and really feel them. We’re already looking forward to the next one!

Kate, we wanted to let you know that with just one lesson, Dave and I have already learned so much and applied what we could to our kirtan on Saturday night and it really helped. We both felt that we sounded better and fuller….We look forward to Saturday with you.

Last night, I did a gig in Ann Arbor at the Crazy Wisdom Tea Room. And an old student of yours joined us. We both started talking about our voice lessons with you and how we miss your sensational voice lessons, advise, spirit and gentle soul.

Mike here from Dreamscape (Director of Operations) audio in Toledo, it’s nice to meet you. I do most of the casting here….the talent sent from you has been solid, so thanks for that. Thanks again.

I just wanted to take a minute to say thank you for the work we’ve done together, and for all the positive support we’ve gotten in our new venture…

I did get retained at my same job from the last two years over at WHMI. Just letting you know things are good.

Thanks Kate! Super fun class!

Great job, Kate! Keep providing the space for people to make their dreams come true!…

Thanks Kate! By the way….I heard my commercial on the radio this morning while I was getting ready for work!!! What a total rush! I actually got teary-eyed. I am SUCH a sap! Thank you helping me get to this fantastic place in life!…

When it rains, it pours! I received a script today from the person who heard me at our convention in February. I will be recording multiple announcements for a fundraising event to keep a community theater open in Harbor Beach. ….I’m a sucker for good causes….

I am recording two spots on Wednesday morning in Birmingham. Yay! Thanks so much for thinking of me. My interview with UM is Tuesday morning, recording spots on Wednesday morning and videotaping my intro for my website on Thursday morning. Pretty good week!! Thanks again….

Hi Kate! Today’s recording went REALLY well! I recorded at Spotlight Media, who produces the Big Show with Michael Patrick Shiels, and Michigan Business Rap. The commercial I recorded was for Wycoff Wellness Center, and it will be played all throughout the state! Things went so well she had me do a cold read audition for an opening to a new show they are producing. She definitely wants to work together regularly and said I might be in 10 times one month, but maybe only once the next. It’s just however the work comes in. Woo hoo!!!!…

Thanks for your consideration, feedback, and assistance with this endeavor (Voice Over Workshop). It’s been great fun!

Kate, thank you for supplying us with such a great pool of voice talent. We- did find a number of good narrators among your respondents, so thanks again. We would be interested in more leads as we conduct future auditions. We will let you know when those happen!….

Thank you Kate ….. both me and my husband appreciate everything you have and are doing for Lilly.

Kate, You helped me achieve my goal of being a working musician.

We had a ball yesterday!!!….Thanks for all the great coaching!!!…..
Thanks again,

By the way, I too have LOVED this class (Voice Over Workshop). What a fun group to work with and you are FABULOUS!
Thanks,

I got a great part in Urine Town!! I am “Little Becky” and she is featured in three songs. I will get to sing, act, and most likely participate in the dances! I am so excited. I couldn’t thank you enough for giving me the voice I have today…

I just want to let you know how much I love this class and all the information you are passing on to us. This is all new to me and I am so glad I found you to help me. You are such an amazing person with so much knowledge and info about this industry. It really has opened my eyes to a whole new world with my voice and what I can do with it. I would definitely be interested in pursuing children’s books on tape and working on additional training with you.

Hey Kate… I luv it! U are building my confidence and you are priceless thanx sooooooo much Kate!!!!!

Thanks again for everything. She (We) love you so much. I also wanted to let you know that we are so lucky to work with you. You have helped Lolo Grow so much. You have done such a great job with the Kids in their VoiceOver training. Thank you for always challenging Lolo and directing her. I am so happy we are back on track to voice train again, we so missed you. Thanks again for everything!

Honestly, everytime a note comes out of my mouth I think of your teachings……….I will always be grateful for our brief time together. With all the best

Thanks for the kind words…and you have to know how amazing we all think you are (you know, the Kate, fan club here!!). I have never seen Lauren light up about anything or anyone the way she lights up around you – even when I just pass her a message from you she gets a big smile on her face – so thank you. I know what a gift we were given when you came into our lives. I appreciate you giving of yourself for Lauren (and me).

She is learning an Italian song for her classic and the teacher said she sounded great and was advanced for an incoming freshman -thank you Kate! Thank you for being such a role model for Alexia. You helped her grow in so many more ways than just a singer! You touched our hearts and we will always consider you a friend and mentor. What you have cannot be taught, because it comes from the heart. Thank you for being a part of our lives.

Lauren and I wanted to thank you for last night’s recording session! What a great experience for her! It was so fun to watch and you and Emillio are brilliant!

Hi Kate-I just wanted to let you know that the kids (and I) had a blast yesterday in class. Thanks again!

“I just wanted to say I love reading your news letter, tips, musings and happenings! I loved what you wrote on “the beat of the creative process.” It’s so nice to have people around or in your circle who share and know and understand this process. It makes me feel at home and gives me a little sigh of relief and thankfulness and gratefulness to know others share my same thoughts on pursuing our passions and keeping in line and aligning ourselves with the universe and opportunities and letting go of fear and or things that no longer serve you. You are just truly amazing and I’m so thankful our paths crossed! I also recently had a VO audition for an audio book script through Brad and Kim with YEA. I loved the read and had a really good audition for it. The author of the book liked mine and they were in negotiations for it I just wanted to share some appreciation thoughts for you and everything you represent and do for others because you have done sooo much for me in this journey I am on. And wanted to give you some feedback and updates. Thanks again so much for all you do!”

You live in a pulsating, vibrating Universe of advanced harmonics. Everything that exists, in your air, in your dirt, in your water, and in your bodies, is vibration in motion—and all of it is managed by the powerful Law of Attraction. There is nothing that exists outside of this vibrational nature…

There is nothing that exists outside of this vibrational nature…

I think about you everytime I sing……… I just started back singing after the 2 weeks in Nova Scotia where I got sick…….but in recovery now. I don’t know when, but I hope to be back with you sometime……..you have changed my life

…doing lots of musical stuff including a new CD project of original tunes, some interesting gigs–with big SHORTY, Dr. Bop and BLACK HAT but also a few solo jobs and with other bands. etc. And I’m still singing–a lot–and you gave me my start into singing for which I am eternally grateful. So thanks for everything, Kate

Hi Kate, I know how busy you must be, but I wanted to take a moment to tell you how inviting, nurturing and professional your emails have become. Sometimes, when I felt all was lost, I would read newsletters from you describing how your students were doing and how people were still pushing so hard despite great obstacles. It helped me significantly, I certainly can feel the power of hope, music, and love. I needed that. Thank you. I miss you and working with you, and I hope we might be able to see one another soon.

I’m incredibly grateful for your generosity in my sound healings. I feel I’ve gained and learned a great deal – particularly with my DNA activation, as you know. Likewise for my voice lessons. I’ve done so much healing here, too, and I have you to thank for my progress. My voice is finally finding its way, I feel. It’s a light, liberating and powerful feeling. Again, thank you so much, Kate, for being the teacher I so needed. I wish you all warm, bright and good energy as your path continues to unfurl, too….

Now that the first part of the journey is done (the end of the beginning), I just wanted to take a moment to express my thanks and gratitude for all your efforts. My demo is almost indescribably better than my demo of a dozen years ago. I also feel much more confident moving forward. I think that is a compliment to your soup-to-nuts approach in the workshop.

Hello Kate and Lisa, Thank you both so much for everything the two of you have done for me. I want to continue improving my voiceovers, so I’ll be looking for more help from both of you. And who loves you guys? That’s right Jimmy!!

…preparing to get my radio career back on track, and other things…without working with you, I don’t know how could’ve gotten through. You really mean a lot to me – through thick and thin. From the bottom of heart, thank you for being a great friend and there for me.

Just wanted to keep you in the loop about some follow-up medical stuff that I’m getting around to…After I have my septum surgery we will have a follow up visit and see if additional exercises (besides what you and I do) and/or surgery would help. I told him what we do and he said it’s so great that I have been working with you. You know how grateful I am to have you in my life – as a mentor, fellow artist and as a dear friend! That’s the scoop for now

Kate, just wanted to say thank you for what you have done for the voice the last few months. Truly has been a blessing to meet and work with you. But this email is about the rest of the package beside the lessons that was not expected. It is so cool, to read your writings and listen to your discoveries of life that for the most of us, are hidden. BRAVO! I got back into music, and have a new zest for life that includes my lifelong passion for sound. And now starting my 60’s I am most grateful for what I have! And above all, I find a need to surround myself with positive, passionate, people like my family and yourself! Thank you for being in my life and doing what you do!

Kate, I would just like to take a moment and say thank you for the class. I do hope that I’ll be able to take what you and Lisa have taught me and make you both proud. Time will tell.

You have been brilliant to create most of your work online for your students and You have been so powerful for others. I know this first hand because you have been such a powerful teacher and healer in my life. I can honestly say that I have grown tremendously since our first meeting and emotionally and spiritually from all our talks and all the healings you honored me with. Something is different in me…..more powerful…more loving…more peaceful. You will always be “My Sir With Love”.

Thanks for all you do, Kate. I love your note about “wailing away” and your patience and kindness. Letting kids be themselves is so important!

Hey Kate, I just wanted to say thank you for getting me where I am today, it means the world to me that you have spent so much time with me, and lead me to get SO much better… considering where I began. I am SO excited to keep recording, the first experience was a lot to handle, but it gave me the exact direction that I want to go! So in a short message, I just wanted to say thank you so much, because I would not be where I am right now without you, and it means the world to me.

Thank You For Being An Inspiring Teacher. I just wanted to say “Thank You”, for today’s lesson. It really helped me today. It not only made me, feel good about my singing, but it helped me get through a very critical moment in my day, today. I was feeling great when I got up to come to class and someone had to try and steal my joy, and you brought it back to me. I Thank You from the bottom of my heart. You are a GODSEND!. Thank You so much Kate and God Bless you.

Thank you for all the healings you have given me from your great heart and powerful intention. You were very intuitive that I was ready to receive this all exactly now…

Thanks,Hi Kate, just wanted you to know that these 1st 5 weeks have been super……….thank you for your kind words and encouragement. My last vocal teachers from Oakland University – Classical voice were always making fun of the tunes I would choose, or my diction and my love for southern / country / bluegrass / americana / folk music. And yet, because I loved singing so much I put up with it for 1.5 years……I will never make this mistake again! Its wild, but I am already noticing changes, and hearing them when I record.

Thanks, Kate, for providing the female voice warm ups! I practiced 2 times so far and I love the work out is provides…it really helps my voice. I will be in touch soon to purchase some of the essential oils as well as the spray for the microphone, etc. Again, thank you!

Just want to email you and say “Thank You” for being a great vocal teacher and helping me with developing my singing. Thank you so much and God bless you.

Thank you for helping me so much with my Annie songs!

Thank you! Thank you! Thank you!!!

Thank you for a fabulous class! Many thanks

Thank you, Kate!! You are a great teacher and you made our Saturday class so much fun! I really appreciate having the opportunity to work with you. I look forward to working with you again one on one.

We are blessed that you came into our lives. Tyler loves his time with you. Thank you for all you do

I saw the movie The King’s Speech. It is really wonderful – with amazing writing and acting. I think you would really enjoy it because so many of the exercises and “homework” that the speech therapist gave to the Duke (later King) are what you taught us in our voice over classes. I feel privileged to have had instruction “fit for a king”! Thank you so much.

I heard an interesting interview on NPR today with the Coen Brothers who were talking about True Grit and how difficult it was to cast a 14 year old girl who could pull off the right voice characteristics they were looking for. I thought it was pretty interesting to hear what they had to say about Hallie and how she didn’t have the voice of a typical 14 year old today…. which reminded me of how hard you worked to get Alora ready for that audition… how ready you had her… then how when an agent heard her, he had her do something completely different…. more Disney upbeat… completely opposite of what she had rehearsed! In other words, you were SOOO right and he was SOOOO wrong. If you remember, this was the role that got her terminated. Apparently he didn’t like being questioned or disagreed with?? Kudos to you… you’re the best!

Thanks to you and Emily, dynamic coaches (simply the best) in helping us find and use our voice.

I’d really like to thank you again, Kate, for all your hard work and all the time you’ve given to me for everything. I’m very happy that I’ve had the opportunity to meet both you, Emily, and all the really great people you surrounded yourselves with. It’s been an honor to be made part of things! I just can’t wait to see what happens next

I would take this workshop over again in a minute–everything I’ve learned I have been able to apply! It has taken me to the next level in voice-over training.

I look forward to your vocal lessons and the life lessons that come along with them. It is people like you who keep me going through this hard journey and keep me striving to be a better person. Thank you again for all your love and support.

A great introduction to the voiceover industry. I highly recommend it. Kate and Emily’s instruction is definitely a winning combination. Their undeniable and genuine interest in their students made the learning process all the more enjoyable!’

Thank you for all you do for Alexis. Everytime she leaves you, she is excited, inspired, and feels like she has learned a great deal. What more can you ask for from a teacher?

OMG – I AM LOVING THE DEMOS!!!! Seriously, this brought tears to my eyes! Everything sounds great – the music choices were spot on! THANK YOU ALL SO VERY MUCH!!!! You are true professionals – thank you for doing this for me. I am totally blown away. This is such a clear and polished demo. Far superior to what I could have done on my own. What a wonderful experience! Can you believe that I am actually going into a local studio this very afternoon to record some on-hold messaging for my company? I could not have done any of this without all of you: your encouragement, your expertise, your attention to detail and genuine care for your students. I am so glad that I found the class. So very glad that you have helped me “Find My Voice”. Thank you again. Keep up the wonderful work!

Kate Hart and Emily Rose are a perfect blend of talent and professionalism for their voiceover workshop. They both bring individual expertise to the table in all areas from voice instruction, breathing technics, personalized selection for the voiceover demo CD and working in the studio, My 15yr old daughter benefited tremendously from what she learned during the workshop. It has prepared her for many opportunities in commercial, anime, and books on CD work etc. and given her a greater confidence in herself.

Thank you…what a great website! Thanks again for putting so much effort into this and helping us all with our resumes, demos, free advice…etc. I personally am very thankful

Just a brief note to thank you for all you’ve done for me. My voice continues to improve, my range is better than ever and I continue to apply what I’ve learned

Oh my gosh, Kate, What do we do without “Tuesday mornings with Kate” now? I will miss the class time and fun we had together. I love the MI Voice Over Talent website…….Thanks again for the classes and demo. We are excited and look forward to work in the business

Kate, saw the website…It’s great! Thanks for an enjoyable class. You made learning fun and both Emily’s and your enthusiasm is contagious. I am glad to have started my VO career with you two!

Kate and Emily are a great team to teach voiceover techniques. Kate’s background as a vocal coach makes her the perfect person to teach diction and techniques to avoid vocal strain and enhance stamina. Emily’s background as an actor and acting teacher gives her the ability to help students understand the business of doing voiceover work, as well as assisting with script selection and building a great demo CD. They’ve both spent a lot of time in recording studios so they demystify the process from start to finish. I highly recommend this course.

Bec and I were so excited to hear our demos. Thank you! Thank you!

Our demo’s are AWESOME…..I’m so excited. Thank you Thank you Thank you:

It was a great class ……we had alot of fun and great lessons.

Thanks so much for all that you are doing to help me and the rest of your students – you are WONDERFUL women!

I also have had some success. I have done 3 voice over commercials and I am being considered for a series of PSA’s to be aired in Chicago . I am doing the final audition monday. Thanks for all you and Emily did for me. I could go on forever …. I got all of my jobs off the back of our voiceover binder that you guys gave to the class.

Working with Kate has been truly instrumental in helping me discover my true voice and all that it is capable of doing. Not only is Kate a great teacher, but she is a very heartfelt person, very genuine and caring. I think that because Kate is such a warm person, she is really able to create a comfortable and nurturing environment for students, which is absolutely necessary when working with such a delicate instrument as the voice.

I just wanted to let you know that what you are doing with Nolan is starting to get noticed by his teachers. As you know they are having auditions for Once on This Island at the middle school. I was talking to another teacher and apparently the drama teacher said that his audition was unbelievable because he wasn’t trying to put it over the top and as a result was the top!

Kate’s approach to teaching vocals is truly progressive. She doesn’t force a generic style down your throat. She gives you the “how” and the “why” and leaves plenty of room for your personal touch. Her methods bring out your true voice. Her instruction on vocal registers, breathing, and pitch has not only helped my singing tremendously, it has also made me a better speaker and beat boxer. As a highly successful performer, business woman, and teacher, Kate Hart will go down in history as something special. Anyone who has a chance to receive her vocal instruction should take it.

Kate has a wonderful care free style that makes my daughter feel at ease when she sings. She is very positive and has developed my daughter’s voice in safe and structured manner. She treats the voice as an instrument that needs care and finite adjustment. Kate Hart has been not only a teacher, but she is an artist. Her work with my daughter has inspired my daughter to work hard at her craft and pursue a career in singing, and she’s only 12.

Singing has always been a dream of mine. Two years ago I found myself at a point in my life where I was seriously thinking of pursuing singing as more than just a hobby. Unfortunately, I lacked technique. All my life, I took every opportunity to get up and sing for people and at 25 years old I realized I could only sing one to two songs without my voice giving out on me. This scared me. I didn’t want to lose the ability to do something I loved without ever having the chance to really fulfill my dreams. A wonderful twist of fate brought me to Kate Hart. After my first couple of lessons we assessed that I had done some damage to my voice over the years but Kate was very reassuring and confident that I could correct the damage and improve my singing technique dramatically. Although it hasn’t always been an easy road, the rewards of my work with Kate have been amazing. I look forward to my lesson every week even if I feel like I’ve hit a few bumps in the training because I know she will immediately make me feel at ease, address the problems I might be having and restore my confidence in myself. She has never wavered in her confidence in me and has been exceedingly patient through this process we’ve been involved in for the past couple of years. I cannot begin to thank her for the many ways she has improved my singing, my confidence and my life. She encouraged me to audition for a band, which was terrifying for me to say the least, but she had faith in me. Because of that, I did audition and I got the job. Now I’m out there doing what I love to do with confidence and a new voice. My dreams of pursuing singing are actually looking more like a reality and I can honestly say that wouldn’t be the case if I had never crossed paths with Kate Hart.

You are a great teacher! I am so thankful that I “found” you!

I’ve been taking lessons from Kate for nearly a year now. I’ve noticed a dramatic improvement in my tone and range. I’ve become aware of what it sounds and feels like to use head voice versus chest voice. Kate is always working on improvement herself by reading and learning new vocal techniques from other voice specialists. She passes this knowledge on to her students, which keeps everyone learning all the time. She is a great ‘out of the box’ thinker/teacher as well. I would highly recommend Kate to anyone who seeks voice lessons.

I’ve enjoyed working with you tremendously. You had faith that I could improve my voice and my breathing when others tried to discourage me. And, I’ve learned so much from you! Even my stage presence has improved as I’ve become more confident. Also, thanks for not trying to change my voice, as many others, like you, find it different and even unique. Thank you also for encouraging my song writing and critiquing my efforts. In that area, I’ve come a long way in a short time.
