Who Are Motor City Melodies?

Motor City Melodies are a group of multi-talented girls from ages 9 to 16. The purpose of the group is to learn the art of collaboration, performance, become adept recording artists, create group and personal artistic vision including skill sets they need for careers in the entertainment industry. They are learning to site read music, develop harmonies, pick material and be involved with the creative process of arranging it. It is a unique opportunity for them to support each other while working together and developing their own personal style. With this approach the girls are experiencing a positive message for themselves and all who come in contact with them. With a team of professionals, including music arranger, Mark Heckert, vocal arranger, Matt Cason, acting coach, Lisa Melinn, voice coach/co-founder, Kate Hart and photographer/ co-founder, Julie Bryant, the girls can base their decision making on advice from professionals working in the business.
Motor City Melodies are currently working on their Christmas show, Retro CD (Recording 60's girl group songs with modern original dance tracks), and the National Anthem in 3 part harmony.
They have just completed their recording and video of an original Halloween song, "They Only Come Out At Night" In addition, they have begun working with Youth Under Construction, A Non-Profit who's work is directed toward anti-bullying.
